About the Stronger Homes Grant
The Stronger Homes Grant is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments through the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
If your home was damaged during the January and February 2025 North and Far North Queensland floods, you could get funding to help improve your home’s resilience against future flooding.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available to cover eligible works on your home.
Applications for the Stronger Homes Grant are now open.
Why should I apply?
The Stronger Homes Grant will help make your home more resilient, reducing the effort, cost, time and trauma of clean-up and recovery following a flood.
With this grant, you can do things like raise electrical switchboards, air conditioning units and hot water systems, or install flood-resilient floor coverings and wall linings.
This means if your home is flooded again, you’ll be able to recover quicker.
